I bought this for my boyfriend as an early Christmas gift. He is a fan of the movies from way back. We had been checking thrift shops, etc but could never find any of them. He was beyond thrilled when I gave him this set!! Not only does it contain the original movies, but also the series following Gus and Woodrow when they were younger. Fantastic series
This is a fantastic series. Starting from the beginning of the series and watching discs in order is a must. It provides hours of enjoyment and it is absolutely the best Western series ever made. I love watching John Wayne, The Sacketts and Clint Eastwood but this is by far tells a better story. After watching this I would suggest getting Return to Lonesome Dove so the story is complete.
