This is a nice entry level camcorder that is small, light weight and user friendly. It has a number of nice features that enhance video quality. The instruction manual is easy to read and follow. The LCD screen is bright and clear, the sound quality is great. The zoom works well to bring in those distance shots and the camcorder tracks nicely following moving objects without a lot of shakiness. My only complaint would be that the picture quality fades dramatically in brighter lighting conditions and tends to wash out the background. Other than that I'm very pleased with the JVC GR D72US Camcorder.
I have had my camera for about 4 years now and it is the best camera I have found. It takes great pictures, movie and still, and is loaded with features. I do recommend getting a battery charger and the larger capacity battery because it is nice to be able to charge the smaller battery while using the camera with the larger battery. The only quipe I have with the camera is the location of the aftermarket tripod mount can sometimes get in the way of ejecting the tape at least with my tripod. I cured this by whittling down the edge of the tripod mount I have and it seems to work well. This camera is definately worth the money paid for it.
This camcorder is wonderful, with all the bells and whistles. I can take still pictures as well with a memory card, which I plan to buy soon. It is VERY easy to operate and all the knobs and buttons are very easy to reach, which is great too. It looks brand new; I've yet to find one scratch. Item was described exactly as it arrived, for which I am eternally grateful (smile..). JVC brand came out on top of all my research and I'm very happy with my purchase.
This camera have very goog feature and a great support from JVC Plus great zoom 16x optical/ 700x digital simple menu small and powerfull SD slot for picture 1024 x 768 Contra there is a factory problem with ccd sensor. If become not funcional JVC will change free of charge only to the original buyer
out of town when it arrived opened box and inspected ok looks. but the camera does not work at all i played back the memory card pictures of some kids playing but no focus or record i played back other tapes i have already camera wont focus it has a f inside a nike swoosh on the display i have no idea what that means must mean broken toatally not happy with purchase expecting it to work. this is the second purchase of grd-72u that did not work i ate the first one i dont want to eat this one
