About this product

Product Information

Based on the 2004 arcade game from Raw Thrills, the company started by acclaimed designer Eugene Jarvis, Target: Terror on Wii has players shooting down terrorists on the Golden Gate Bridge, inside a Los Alamos nuclear power plant, and throughout the Denver International Airport. The game's ten stages feature an assortment of enemies to shoot down and innocent victims to protect. Using the Wii Remote or Wii Zapper peripheral, players must eliminate a specific number of terrorists before advancing to the next stage. Weapon power-ups include a flamethrower, shock gun, freeze gun, and smart bomb. Target: Terror also features an assortment of mini-games to unlock during the main campaign.

    An endless amount of fun.

I used to pump every quarter I had into a Target Terror machine at my local arcade. Ever since I found out that this was also released for the Nintendo Wii, I've managed to snag a copy & am enjoying it every bit. It's a fantastic lightgun game that looked & performed well in its time. In my opinion, it still holds up to this day. Raw Thrills certainly knew what they were doing.

  • Target: Terror for Wii (or just go to the arcade, ok)

Shooting games really aren't the Wii's strongpoint. The Wiimote or Wiizapper really doesn't give the feel of a gun. It just doesn't give that plastic Happ Controls arcade feel to a game that was originally designed exclusively for arcades. In fact, when this game originally came out, one of Raw Thrill's selling points was that it would not be available for home consoles. 5 years later (after new game sales are gone) it's here. Before you start saying, crimeny, these graphics suck...you have to bear in mind that this is a 6 year old arcade game. If you played it in the arcade and compared it to Area: 51 or House of the Dead, you'd be happy. If you compared it to Razing Storm or Rambo, you'd find the graphics lacking. That is a function of time, not design flaw. When I mentioned to ...

  • Fun arcade shooter

  • Decision making skills

I bought this for one reason, to hone my instant decision skills. The game has both good guys and bad guys and the faster you make the decision the higher the score. It works really well for this kind of exercise. My only critique is that the order of targets is not random, so once you memorize a level, you're not honing your skills anymore. A simple randomizer in the game software would have made this so much better.

  • When terror is fun.

Best light gun game on Wii in my opinion.
