very easy to install and very easy to use. this 69.5 yo female can have a 10 ft 45# kayak on or off in no time. no tools needed for installation although i bought some washers for it......rides well but keep in mind the center of gravity is a little higher and wind resistance a little greater compared with carrying inverted kayak directly on roof rack...but no flipping needed once you have it on the roof. in addition to this saddle i use a kayak roller mounted on my cars back window for an easy lift. also, because the saddle is easy to remove, just be aware of possible theft if you leave it on car. i mount mine in the middle and you have to open door and stand on running board to reach it (unless one climbs up on the car).

I absolutely love my sea wings! I have two sets that easily fit my yaks side by side on top of my Armada (Large SUV) with space between them. I have actually left them up there for more than a week driving around and they still stayed solid. I can load them from the rear by myself or with a little help from my teens. I just put a rug on the rear d spoiler to prevent scratching. No need to lift up and over a K cradle which is HUGE since my SUV is already taller than I am. I have no regrets what so ever.

I made adapter plates and mounted them to a trailer so I am not familiar with rooftop applications. They are good quality, easy to use, and hold the kayaks firmly.

The Seawing is easy to load my 17ft sea kayak. Just throw a bath mat or welcome mat on the back of your car and slide it right on.

I have the Mega Wing and can’t see any difference in these. If I had to do over, I’d just get the Sea Wing.
