Very Good Performer and a Great Value!
OK, the Marantz MM7025 is not an audiophile superamp. It's not rated into 4 Ohm loads and it will not double power as impedence is halved, but.......it is a well-built, nice looking, easy-to-live-with amp of higher than average power and has proven itself to be be very well thought-out and very well executed. Remote and 12V trigger controlled turn-on/off is provided, as is a cool blue light that circles the centrally located display. The light can be switched off if you find it too gaudy. Speaker posts are very good quality. The amp has been totally reliable and glitch-free in operation for me. I actually have driven a pair 4-Ohm speakers (a/d/s/ HT-300's)without any trouble. But they're just 5.25" two-ways and bass below 80 Hz was handled by subs, so take that for what it's worth. ... OK, the Marantz MM7025 is not an audiophile superamp. I was going to go with a used more powerful amp but was afraid it would not last. I'm replacing a used Carver amp I purchased a little over a year ago that just went out. This was a good deal so I decided to buy new ( dealer recertified). Comes with 3 years warranty. This amp sounds very good with Clean & Clear highs. Just hope it lasts
