The XV-S65 is a Great DVD player with a ton of added features. A+ in value
This JVC DVD player is an exceptional product; if you are a JVC fan, you will not be disappointed. It is built in the better days of JVC's audio/video line of manufacturing separate components. This player can play back a wide variety of Disc types, including DVD+R's very well, It can also playback DVD-R but may have some issues with the - format, other than that this unit is colored light gray, if you don't mind that, they also have a black version available but it is under a separate model number. The remote is not backlight but some buttons do glow in the dark, it has standard RCA video/audio out, component video out, and coaxial and optical audio out jacks for connectivity on the back panel, it can also be connected to JVC's Comp-u-link system. The menus are easy to navigate and user ... This JVC DVD player is an exceptional product; if you are a JVC fan, you will not be disappointed. It is a standard size for component items, so it will fit into your audio/video system matching the same size, and the display on the front is a LCD block style blue, showing the disc information such as chapter/time, and disc type. Other features include JVC's 3D phonic audio enhancements, progressive DVD up scaling playback, universal remote for use with your TV and common front panel playback controls, are just a few. Playback video is crisp and audio is clear, this player can also double as a standard CD player, and the playback mechanism is centered to reduce side vibration patterns.

A Very Good Product
My player is fine My other one tore up I needed a replacement and my Budget is shot so this was a solution so now I need a remote other than that It plays very good at first there was a few squiggly lines but, after cleaning it with the disc cleaner it plays like it is brand new.

Well I found a dvd in the NEW machine plus it had scatches like some other machine had been rest on top of it. So I don't think it was new but it works and I got a free movie. WOW.
