Solid Axle Replacement For Inexpensive Old Road Bikes
I'm pleased with the axle and skewer sets. They're a good and inexpensive upgrade replacement for a solid axle set on a 40 year old lightweight. I won't have them installed until the late spring snow melts on the farm where my inexpensive bikes are kept.

Ended up only using the skewers and springs. One cap was missing upon arrival, and the axle threads were non-standard so I ended up tossing them and using some old ones again and using bearing races from another old set. They are inexpensive, but I ended up purchasing one axle for more than the cost of these two, but they worked.

These are not of best quality. Package came with some surface rust on the thru axles. It can be cleaned up but shouldn't have to do it if they are new. This is a great conversion for your solid axle wheels.

They were pretty much as described. The diameter was a little ambiguous. (They are 3/8") I prefer the black matte finish of these over the chrome. They install and function very well. The cost was very affordable. They were shipped out within a reasonable amount of time. Overall...a great deal!
