The Sony Cyber-shot DSC-H55 digital camera's compact and lightweight body features a 10x optical zoom Sony G lens. It has 25mm wide-angle shot capability, allowing it to take better shots at greater distances and wider angles. Featuring a 14.1 megapixel CCD sensor, the camera's Sweep Panorama mode allows you to take panoramic photos in one sweeping motion. This digital camera's 3-inch Clear Photo LCD screen allows easy framing and viewing of your shots. You can also do direct, in-camera image editing for nicer pics from the get-go. Digital images are also clearer with Sony's Optical SteadyShot image technology. JPEG, AVCHD, and MP4 file formats are supported. Aside from an auto ISO mode, you can also set the ISO from 100 to 3200. With a built-in 45MB memory, the H55 camera also comes with a Memory Stick card slot and a rechargeable lithium-ion battery. A micro-USB cable, wrist strap, AC adapter, and instruction manual are also included with this digital camera. These help you take full advantage of your device.The 10x wide lens of this DSC-H55 digital camera takes better pictures from long distances and wide landscapes. Then you can review them on the 3.0-inch LCD screen. The Optical SteadyShot feature lets you achieve clearer images with minimal blur.     For being a camera from 2010 it still packs a punch, even the sony cameras today use lots of the features and even look very similar, its worth for a backup or even if your starting on a budget, 14mp 720p 10x zoom, i mean just buy one

    Easy to use.

    This is a pocket sized camera that does alot more than point and shoot. I am used to a SLR camera so I wanted a bit of control, but I find it takes great pictures (very clear, good colour) even on auto mode. The 10X zoom is great, but you can get even closer using the digital zoom and the picture quality is still good. The movie feature was not a priority but I find I use it quite alot. While researching to purchase a small camera I found that this camera had alot of features, was reasonably priced, and had pretty good reviews. I am really happy with it and would highly recommend it

    Simple to use, great features!

    I love Sony cameras in general, this camera has not disappointed, nice clear shots, awesome panoramic feature, and it's the first camera I've had that took video and allowed me to zoom in and out at the same time. Only drawback I've found is that occasionally it's a bit slow to focus, and it has a bit of distortion that shows on the edges when taking pictures of people (heads look a little elongated) but it's not a really big deal. It has a cropping tool and I have closed in and cropped some great nature photos with it. Took it on a trip to California and have had great success. Oh, only other flaw I found is that the videos need to be converted from MP4 format if you want to use them in Windows Movie Maker, but I found a conversion program for free on line and once I got the hang of it ...

    Shipped to me very fast! I ordered for my daughter and I wasn’t sure at first about this camera. I tried it out and it is a very good camera with really good picture quality and easy to use for the year and price! I’m amazed I didn’t think it would be this good! I’m very happy with my purchase. I could of paid a lot more for a camera but I’m glad I choose this one.
