Great audio, prehistoric video.
It serves it's purpose. Very old machine, doesn't even have HDMI connection, I would never dream of it for it's intended purpose it is hopelessly outdated. Works great for my desired use as a dedicated CD player with a pretty inclusive remote, which is what I bought it for, for an audio system.

Perfect companion for new LCD TV
Okay, this review might be a bit biased. My old DVD player was so old---HOW OLD WAS IT?---it only had RCA connections! I actually hooked that dinosaur up to my new Samsung LNS4051D (40" LCD TV). With RCA cables. Yikes. So, of course, this upscaling DVD player (connected with HDMI cables, thanks for asking!) looks like a dream to me. I can't imagine that Blu-Ray and HDDVD players create a better picture than this. For $100, this player is more than adequate until the Blu-Ray/HDDVD war is won. If you have a fairly new DVD player, you can probably wait for Blu-Ray or HDDVD players to come down in price. If you have an older DVD player and a new LCD or plasma TV, you will not regret purchasing this upscaling player. The picture is flawless.Okay, this review might be a bit biased. Great DVD player with lots of features.
The HDMI connectivity makes this an awesome DVD player. One cable hook-up to my plasma screen T.V. was a breeze and the picture is unbelievable. Ebay saved me over $30 on a new "still in the box" unit compared to Best Buys sale price. What more can one ask for?
