Classic poor design. Only thin liquids.
Only does thin liquids well. Throat of upper tank is so thin it will not do ice creme shakes well. Takes forever and you have to put a knife in to cut the ice creme up and dangerously close to the blade since ice creme will not go down to the blade on its own. Will only mix ice creme after it has melted so it is very poor to do shakes with. The smooth blade attachment is ineffective for much especially ice creme or fruit and seems able to move nothing but thinest liquids. Is very easy to cross thread the base after cleaning yet looks like it is on fine but then after it is too late you realize it is leaking down the back of the unit where you can't see it at first.
