These are REALLY tight but they do work great. For the Sony 212, the dustcover plastic where the hinge attaches is thicker than the rest of the cover. To get the hinge on, I VERY CAREFULLY inserted a screwdriver and wedged it open a bit while sliding the hinge on the dustcover plastic. That worked because the plastic cover wasn't spreading the hinge open. I was concerned about breaking the hinge. But I was MORE concerned about braking the dustcover.
