Pros: Good product. Easy to use. Good sound. Cons: Screen needs to be anti glare as it is too reflective.

Not accurate, even after a fresh update, operates erratically at times My other 10 yo Old Garmin was easy to use and had better features, seems like that the price goes up and quality goes down. This will be my last Garmin

It's first important to know the difference between a unit like the Garmin and a navigation device such as a cellphone which relies on the internet and location services. I would say that your most accurate navigating device at present is a large screen cell phone running an app like Waze. For most places you go, this may be fine. However, the Garmin offers something that the cell phone and all the navigating apps you can load do not have: navigation when your cell phone loses coverage. Garmin does not rely on a connection to the internet or 4G or other service from a cell tower. It is using strictly satellite data to track your progress. A cell phone app loads your map mostly where you are located, and adds necessary updates to the maps as your trip progresses. Cell phones load only the basic skeleton of the whole route, and rely on your service connection to fill in the details and keep you updated. That's the strength of the Garmin. It will work where cell phones don't. The large screen is nice. The bad news is the Garmin maps are not updated quickly. I've reported map errors where a company has been for months, and I mean a big company, on several acres of property, and it's been months and still no map update. If you can't get an address accepted, you can't know where to go. So the unit is useless if you punch in an unknown location. The best bet is to equip yourself with both systems, and even have a paper (cough) map just in case. PS: Good luck finding paper maps for sale anymore. You can still order them and get them at places like AAA, but don't think you can pick one up on your trip. Most places just stopped carrying them.Read full review

It works good but it doesn't work without being connected to power like the older ones do. A helpful feature when walking.
