RARE APLPINE CD PLAYER FOR CAR FROM OLD DAYS
First of all this item came without the operational cable harness that turns on the unit and other operations. It wouldn't be of any use to any regular buyer, if they didn't have the part that goes with it and that part likely isn't available anymore being a 19 year old unit. I happened to have the same model so I could swap the wiring harness. the item that I bought was in mint condition like new open box, unused, likely it's a returned item and the original buyer forgot to put the wiring harness back in the box. The item is manufactured 2004. Hoping the electronics inside didn't forget to function. So far works good. Happy with the purchase. Pros: Outstanding sound quality and construction. Easy MP3 files/folders/stations navigation. Connectivity features. CDs or MP3s never skip. Beautiful design work on the faceplate as well. Cons: Controls are not very user friendly while driving. The sound quality produced by this Alpine head unit is second to none and the fit and finish are top notch as well. You can literally feel the quality when you touch the controls. The ability to control an iPod, a CD changer, a cell phone, and XM radio is great. No other head unit in this price range has all these connectivity features. The only downside is that the controls are not very suitable for manipulation without looking at the deck, which could be hazardous while driving. The Alpine 9820xm built-in xm tuner not available anymore. But get this if you're lucky enough to get one the faceplate from Alpine cda 9807 to 9827 will fit and work because they are xm ready.
