    Bulky, but worth every ounce!

I think CRTs are some of the most underrated pieces of tech out there. This thing's colors are amazingly vivid, its lines are beautifully crisp, its blacks are beautifully deep, and it can run upwards of 80Hz at 1280x1024! If you can get your hands on a CRT like this, I would recommend it over a modern flat panel.

  • A great computer monitor for the price/use

My first bid and I won!! I was wary of getting a Dell, but I was glad I did try it. The E773C is a great size monitor and it does well in home use. The colors are clear and vivid. Playing games is adaptable too. It is not bulky and easy to lift. The monitor controls on front panel are working, easy to use. I tested several for ease of use. When the monitor arrived, I thought it was a 15' monitor cuz it is so compact, but like advertised it is 17 inches in measurement. I would recommend Dell monitors to anyone with a budget or needs.

  • Great Detail and Functionality

I have owned one of these for over ten years. My family had been using it since around or before the year this model first came out, and to this day it has withstood the years wonderfully. There's only a slight, barely noticeable faded patch on the bottom left, but most of the time even when I'm trying, I can't see it. The monitor has been subject to above average use, occasional accidental magnet contact (which its degauss function fixes; unplugging for a while works too). Not sure if it's just my eyes, but even the flicker at 60hz on this bad boy is more than bearable for me. Around 70hz the flicker is just about gone; very hardy. Around 1024x768 resolution, it begins to look just a bit fuzzy on sharp systems like Windows 2000, but it looks great on more modern systems at 1154x864. It ...

  • Wrap Around Screen

Being a Microsoft Flight Simulator enthusiast I bid on and bought this monitor because it was exactly the same as several other monitors I use for flying. It allows my wrap around view, scenery outside the airplane, to be of the same size and resolution on each monitor. This is important so the view on all monitors line up exactly, the only way it can appear realistic.

  • Ya' gotta be kidding !!!!

The only reason to buy any CRT is because it is CHEAP !!! LCD's are so cheap and a used one is cheaper... I mean less than $100. If you have a Computer you don't need a monitor for except to check something and you don't want or need a decent monitor... we call them do-4s. It will do for this, or that!! Cathode Ray tubes belong in the same bin with Cartrige 8 Track tapes. (except that they won't burn) I won this thing and didn't even go get it. That's not how cheap it was - that's how worthless it is! But, for a desperate, temporary - and O heck,.... get a LCD! You may need to replace your good one temporariy. Don't buy a Cathode Ray Monitor. C'mon!
