Love the texture. To me this is my favourite type of jerky. None of that chewing on leather stuff. Has a nice easy chew. The flavour is not bad. However, I personally feel that it could be better. I also wish it was hotter. It doesn't really have much heat at all. I wish it was about 5x as hotter than it currently is. Overall it's not bad and it'll last me quite a while.

These folks at Dakota Trails make some awesome kippered beef jerky! It’s flavorful and for less than $8/ lb you can’t beat the price. Buy it and break it down into one lb bags. Freeze the rest until you’re ready for it. Seriously good jerky!

I suppose it was a "good" price, but I did not think it was made well; It was not dry enough and at times it tastes like raw meat, even though it is spiced. And I was not happy to learn that besides having MSG, it also contains nitrates. A well made, and properly smoked/dried jerky should not have to have these preservatives and flavor enhancers added. very disappointed.
