The Olympus VN-6200 handheld digital voice recorder sports a large, easy-to-read LCD screen that shows recording time and file details. This VN series DVR comes with 1 GB internal memory and 444 hours of uninterrupted audio recording in LP mode. The Olympus VN-6200 offers 3 recording modes: SP and LP for extended, and HQ mode for high quality recordings. For easy retrieval of a specific piece of recording, this digital voice recorder allows you to insert index marks per file. This VN series DVR comes with a Variable Control Voice Actuator (VCVA) function that begins recording only when its microphone detects sound. For transcribing convenience, the Olympus VN-6200 offers two playback modes - slow and fast.

    High quality, intuitive digital recorder.

    I use the Olympus vn5200pc/vn6200pc/vn7600pc recorders exclusively in my team's paranormal investigations. They are easy to use and provide excellent audio quality, especially when set at the 'HQ' recording mode (200--13kHz). Their performance has been outstanding. I have also used this series of recorders for recording seminars with the same excellent results.

    Excellent digital recorder- Super easy to transfer to MAC

    Bought this product in order to record random, fast-moving thoughts instead of having to physically write them down as well as taking notes during lectures and study groups for school. PROS: -Very easy to figure out: has 6 buttons plus a directional pad with 5 separate folders for storing sound bits. -Incredibly lightweight and compact: very easy to throw in a purse, backpack, or pocket without trouble. -Vast memory: advertised 444 hours, 70h 55m 37s on the highest quality setting. Plenty. -Quality: superb quality along with slow and fast playback. -USB connection: just plug it in and move them to computer in mp3 format. CONS: -No delete all: (I haven't found one yet) but I transcribe my verbal notes and have to go delete them one by one.

    Very handy little recorder

    I'm the secretary for a local club. I only use this once a month to record the meetings as an aid for my report. It is very small, 1.5 by 4 inches, but it catches everyone's voices clearly. I use the medium record quality and set it so it only records when someone is speaking. This gives me around a hour and a half of record time. You do need to use the instructions for the inital set-up but after that recording is extremely simple. Push the red "Rec" button to record and push the "Stop" button to quit. Replay is just as easy. Push the "Play" button. Rewind or fast forward by using arrow keys on each side of the play button. The display shows in minutes and seconds how far forward or backward you go.     VN-6200PC Handheld Digital Recorder

    This device is very good. I have used it for years but then I lost it and decided to get the same model recorder. It stores voice files in various folders and replays with good quality. There are choices in recording quality that will give long hours of recording time. Its quite easy to use. It is small and the 2 AAA batteries lasts a long time. I like this device a lot.

    Low cost easy to use.

    This is second VN-6200 I have used, on the first one the speaker failed after a possible drop onto a hard floor. This new one was an offer that was worth taking. The units are easy to set up and use and for transferring into a WMA application on a Win 7 computer. Except for losing the speaker on the first one very easy to use, the first one is still usable for recording and downloading the files, just cannot use the speaker for checking while recording or between recordings.
