aggravation
discovered after buying this that olympus fouled the program so that the 2400 recordings could not be sent over the net to a transcription service. only the person handling the recorder can hear, not from the memory card. apparently they made a patch which which was not available to me. My transcription service had a program from the prior model which this replaced which worked after 3 hours time for 2 employees . now I am able to use 2400 just fine but cannot recommend unless you transcribe off of the machine or have the programdiscovered after buying this that olympus fouled the program so that the 2400 recordings could not be sent over the net to a transcription service. only the person handling the recorder can hear, not from the memory card. apparently they made a patch which which was not available to me. It is a good product and far superior to dictating over the phone line.
I never had the 2300, so my software was from the 2400. It works fine and it is amazes me that I can email my dictation so easily. The speaker for playback on the unit is not real clear.
