    lightweight with many great features, two thumbs up!

    this product is what i have been looking for. It is easy to set up and use, sounds great (nice speaker) , with all the right I/Os, has great storage capacity, (up to 32 gigs on one SD card) and is just the right size for desk top use. It is a great tool to get song ideas down quickly when inspiration strikes. This unit comes equipped with a built in battery charger for the nimh batteries, It can also run on regular batteries but most of the time I use the included power supply. one feature that I don't use is the automatic telephone call recorder but i am sure that it must be excellent as well.

    Unit overall and performance

    This unit provides a timer recording capability so you can set it up to record at a specific interval provides various inputs including for phone landline if you still have one some features could be upgraded for a newer model this one’s from 2014 but audio performance is very good. I’m sure you can find improved features on Higher end models put this unit provides more than adequate for the General user. What I don’t like it’s classic of designs today is the silver painted plastic trim that wears off when under use especially the labeling. The display is a little bit outdated and could use D size batteries , better to run this unit off of AC power. It says it’s firmware can be updated or reloaded but try and find it doesn’t seem to be available to the user that’s if need be. Hello ...

    This machine is easy to use without unnecessary function. It has auto phone recording function. Once connect to phone and switch to phone recording function, it auto starts recording when phone picked up. Sound quality is very good with its big-than-average speaker. Battery charging function is very convenient. Just connect to the plug it starts charging with preceding battery switch setting correct. It doesn't provide as many file format of recording quality as those of japan digital voice recorder, it only has three, but it's enough. The size is bulky compare to USB size digital voice recorder. They are not the same product. This machine is designed to be used on desktop, not for carrying to any place to do its job.     Adjustable recording settings
