Best bang for the buck. Read many articles and had owned one previously. Lives up to my expectations 100%. A real bargain basement item. Plenty of range and volume. Great features in this price range. Very good performance as well.

Great value! You get much more than you paid for!
I currently have three of these radar detectors and I really like them. They are inexpensive and work well. I don't have the money and I don't find the need to spend hundreds of dollars on radar detectors. This one works well and I have never had something go wrong with them. The 360 degree coverage is nice in case a cop is coming up behind you. I like that the sound mutes some when the signal is constant so that it does not annoy you. And if that is not enough, it also has a mute button to completely mute it. The only thing that I do not like is the fact that there are a lot of false warnings. But in reality, that happens with every detector. Another advantage is that this radar detector is loud. I also have the windows down and the music up and I can still hear it. Overall, it ... Simple to operate and works adequately for the price.
Had this for a week so far, it picks up x band very good either from automatic doors or speed cameras. Haven't had a chance to see its effectiveness in an actual speed trap yet. I can say its simple to operate compared to the whistler 695 I was using which, died after only 2 yrs. I spent nearly $160 on that unit which is kinda why I went the cheaper route this time. I've read other reviews on various websites and there are a few video's posted on youtube featuring the cobra 7400 model, it seems like an adequate unit. Good and Cheap!
For the inexpensive price, this is a decent radar decector, features and tracks 9 different type of radar, low cost and ease of operation. For a unit of this size and cost, it offers security and peace of mind, no it is not a Valentine, but the technology is equal or better than what Valentine did 10 years ago.

This unit is going off constntly in town and on the highway so I am always watching for cos that do not exist
So far I have been unable to use it without constant alerts so have turned down the volume. I have tried different settings on a mixture of city and highway driving and too many alerts.
