    Surprisingly Flexible and Powerful

    You would think that a camera this of this age would be obsolete, but this camera is exactly what most people need. You can simply point and shoot, or you can do more - like some decent macro capabilities. It's a little complex in the menus, but Olympus quality that still shines. It's not an SLR, but good buy for someone that doesn't want to commit that kind of cash. Thumbs up on this model.

    Older camera with great optics and a powerful zoom

    This is an older camera (as you can tell by it's max resolution of 4 MP) but it has a great zoom & is reliable for action shots & touristy photos. It's bulk works against it, and you will probably want to get at least 1 spare battery (it takes a proprietary one that you can't pick up while on vacation). It also uses xD memory cards, which aren't the cheapest or easiest to find. But, for $50, I'm willing to accept those minor flaws. 4mp is great for most things, the flash is powerful, and the video quality is decent. The ability to turn off the rear screen & use a mini-screen in the viewfinder is handy (it makes a major difference in battery life).

    Olympus C 765 Ultra Zoom, a great buy

    New cameras are on a megapizel craze and many buyers might pass on this older Olympus because its "only" 4 megapixels. Problem is, many new cameras provide more megapixels than the human eye can discern. People are paying for big megapixel numbers and don't get any functional benefit from them. While 4 megapixels on this camera isn't optimal, its more than adqduate for most uses. Most people will find its 10x optical zoom a lot more beneficial than a couple extra megapixels. I first bought one of these new back when they were $450.It died after 6 years of use and almost 5000 photos. Certainly nothing to complain about there. Functional cameras of this model with an almost new appearance typically sell on ebay for less than 20% of the original price. Weak points include the control ...

    Perfect for clock repair and documenting other repairs

    I have two of these cameras. I bought this one for a backup but have been using both. It works very well for taking photos of clock movements prior to disassembly to take the guess work out of reassembly. Takes sharp closeups with the dual macro capability. Has an excellent quality lens that produces great digital photos. I also take photos of the cases and any case repairs that is accomplished. Great value as a used camera.
