    X10 Lives!

    X10 remote control has been around for many decades and still works amazingly well. It's reliable, flexible and has a very low cost. This AM486 appliance module operates with a ratchet relay that makes a loud click when activated, but that's the only drawback and X10 has other modules that are silent, include dimmers, and fit in electrical boxes.

    Used X10 AM-486 appliance lamp module

    I was a little hesitant to buy used modules because as I know, the modules have a lifespan.. Periodically they go bad, so I have no way of knowing just how long these modules were used before somebody decided to sell them..So far so good, they've been working for a week now. Hopefully, I'll get at least a few years out of them. Jim C
