Remote control
The machine operates fine , but I'm not able to use the remote except to open and close the DVD door. No other function works, not even the ON/ OFF button. Also no instructions were included with this unit. Thank you, George

Philips MWD2205 DVD Player / VCR Combo
Well i decided to look for a dvd/vcr combo on ebay, when all the ones i saw in stores were a little out of my price range. My unit had been recently broken by my children and i needed to replace it. I found several good deals on ebay and found this particular item, which was a refurbished unit. I have always been fond of the Phillips Magnavox brand, so this unit was really appealing. And for the price that it was being offered at, i could hardly turn it down. I received my product and was overall satisfied with it, except that the remote unit was not the one that belongs to this machine, and does not operate it. Its really difficult to get universal remotes to operate a dvd/vcr combo correctly, so i am having some minor issues operating my machine. But overall, its a fine unit and ... Best VCR in my book!
I am old-school and still use a VCR. This is the third one of this make and model that I have purchased. It is easy to set up and use and has a great picture.
