We have 4K equipment and this Blu-Ray is the bomb!! It was perfect on our 75” tv. Hoping it will work on the 85” when it arrives. Picture quality was super clear!! I saw the regular DVD and was fast asleep. On blu-Ray, with 4K equipment it was the bomb!

Lonesome Dove is one of the greatest Westerns and films ever made. This edition is fantastic: it restores the film to higher quality and sets it back in the widescreen it was originally shot in. The special features are okay, but the real gold is the widescreen and higher-def quality of the fantastic film.

This is a great epic western with indelible performances from Robert Duvall, Tommy Lee Jones and the rest of the cast. Even if you've viewed the DVD edition, you will truely be impressed with the Blu ray release with its great, sharp vibrant picture quality. Since this was a 1988 production, it does not offer the advanced audio formats of current Blu ray films, but the Dolby Digital sound is still excellent. Well worth owning!
