Too soon to tell
I just received my unit and to be honest I haven’t had it long enough to give it a full review . I use it for both HiFi two channel listening, (which it is most capable at 150 wpc..). But I can’t comment yet,.. on the AV side so I will have to do a follow up later After I gave set up the 7.2.2 speaker conf . The cool thing is it’s a 11.2 receiver

Sounds amazing! Set up is simple for an advanced user. Upgraded from a Denon AVR 3808 CI which was cutting edge 15 years ago. It has always sounded really really good and the GUI worked well. Just couldn't pass through today's resolutions and connectivity. The RX-A8A receiver blows it away along with having all the cool new capabilities such as Dolby Atmos, 8k etc. Not new to Yamaha as the receiver before my Denon was rocksolid as well. Still have it and it works perfectly.Sounds amazing! Set up is simple for an advanced user. Upgraded from a Denon AVR 3808 CI which was cutting edge 15 years ago. It has always sounded really really good and the GUI worked well. Just couldn't pass through today's resolutions and connectivity.
