A dumb but funny "Kid Flick" about a bunch of high-school losers who spent all of their time screwing off, and smoking pot, and just having a good time. Now it is time for college, but not even the truck driving school will accept them. In an effort to appease his parents (and find a way to screw off for four more years), Bartleby Gaines (Justin Long), comes up with an idea to start a completely fictitious college, named the South Harmon Institute of Technology. He and his group of fellow dummies are all having a good time, until hundreds of fellow dummies show up for orientation! Soundtrack to my Freshman Year
I saw this movie in theaters the summer before I started undergrad and it was so relevant to my college experience. Justin Long is absolutely wonderful in this and Lewis BLack was spot on. A young Columbus Short and Jonah Hill are also enjoyable. Full of laughs and inside jokes those of use who went away to school will get. A real treat
