The seller stated that what he sold was like new and had a valid license key. When I received it, I checked the license key with Claris Corp. They stated that the license key was valid, but that it had been used to register the product before. In other words, the seller sold a used license key, and therefore, not valid for registering the product. I could not use the product. When I notified the seller, he refunded my payment. Caveat emptor to anyone else.

Since this software was designated "end of life" by Claris years ago and is no longer supported, key generators and other tactics of bad actors sometimes catch us in the crossfire, but we always fix the issue or otherwise make our customers whole. We opened brand new boxes and removed the cards, but sometimes that's not enough. We fully refunded the order and apologized for the inconvenience. Our decades of overwhelmingly positive feedback is no accident.
