Legendary Klipsch Heritage
at 55, these will most likely the last pair of speakers I will purchase new. I have only had them for a couple of weeks now, so they haven't even opened up yet, and my goodness are they GOOD. Big and Beautiful both in looks and sounds. I could not be happier with this purchase. If they age half as well as the 1978 La Scala's I just sold...... My teenage daughter will be enjoying these speakers with her kids. I am truly stunned by them. I have gone in search of vinyl that truly make speakers shine, simply to put them through the test. Acoustic instruments and vocals are jaw dropping. So we are clear, I am using a small 12 watt tube amp and turntable, less than 1k in equipment and it's the best I've ever heard from vinyl. I can't wait to get my "last turntable, and MAC receiver" on down ... at 55, these will most likely the last pair of speakers I will purchase new. I LOVE THESE SPEAKERS!
Sound is amazingly present. Not in your face, but present. Detail is exceptional but not to the point of rendering bad recordings unlistenable. Low distortion from top to bottom, Cleanest, most palpable bass I've ever heard. Excellent imaging. With careful set-up, speakers essentially disappear as sound sources. Sound quality outside of the sweet spot is quite good with imaging retaining a nice stereo spread. All in all, of all the speakers I've owned (Advent, ESS, Bose, Amrita, B&W, Energy, Polk, JBL, MFSL, Hsu and more) these are my favorites. They are not cheap, but in light of Klipsch's traditional resale value, I think they still represent good value. A ten-year warranty caps it off nicely.
