I have spent a lot of time in my friends upholstery shop. So I know a little about upholstery work and staplers. From time to time I saw him buy staplers for around $200 bucks. Yes they will hold more staples. But other than that he looks for slim simplicity, light weight and powerful enough to do the job. This stapler holds a normal amount of staples not the double rack that a professional stapler will hold. But other than that this stapler is great. Slim light weight and powerful. This week I had to make a plastic cover for a leaky window. I was driving staples though the plastic. Had to go easier not push the stapler too hard into the plastic. Did not need to push down hard. Pros - This stapler arrived a day faster than promised and it already had an air fitting installed, so I could get right to work. So far I have placed several thousand staples without any misfires or jamming. It is also fairly quiet in operation. Cons - The only con is that I found that it DOES spit oil from the top front exhaust, so to protect the new fabric during installation I had to wrap a rag around the top and hold it on with a rubber band. That worked OK, but I'm going to have to come up with some arrangement that stays on a little better.
