In a 1CCD system, all incoming light information is processed by the same CCD. The more advanced 3CCD system uses three distinct CCDs for processing, so there is absolutely no light loss.     Cameron does not work

    The product showed up at my house with no way of charging the batteries so I purchased a battery charger online put it on the charger and it did nothing with the camera when I wrote to have it sent back the person who sent it to me wrote me a note saying that there was no guarantee on the batteries that she tested it with her own battery. What kind of garbage is that sending me a camcorder with a dead battery. I would’ve gladly paid more for it had there been a functioning battery with it. So Now I’m supposed to buy another battery and now on a battery and a charger for a camera that might not work.. Sorry this is all not cool

    Older but still great!

    Even though new camcorders are moving away from mini tapes for those of us who like to edit on the computer they are still the best solution. They are also still the best for quality of image (note they are used in most high end camcorders). I have the Panasonic PV GS320 500 (older and much more expensive) and absolutely love it. Great video and even in low light the quality isn't bad. It's having the 3 sensors. So when looking for a gift for my son's family this seemed the best option within a reasonable price. Still has the 3 sensors and uses the mini tapes, low light video is fine. It's smaller so easier to stash in a large pocket or purse. No mic jack though and sound is an issue with camcorders. I usually wind up laying down a music track to solve those issues. I ...

    Great little camcorder

    this does a great job, the audio is great, even at fairly long ranges. The image quality is outstanding, I have used this to shoot a rally and a ballgame, both came out great. My friend has the same camera that we use to record sermons at church for broadcast. It works great there too. For the price, I don't think there is a better 3 ccd camera available

    wonderful quality on this camera, and perfect size and weight.

    i am very happy with this camera, it has beautiful video quality and sound quality, and its a perfect size and its pretty light. i am filming skateboarding videos with it and it has been wonderful. this is the best camera to start with if you want to start filming with cameras with like the vx series, dvx or any pro camcorder.
