    Not accurate, even after a fresh update, operates erratically at times My other 10 yo Old Garmin was easy to use and had better features, seems like that the price goes up and quality goes down. This will be my last Garmin

    The good and the bad

    It's first important to know the difference between a unit like the Garmin and a navigation device such as a cellphone which relies on the internet and location services. I would say that your most accurate navigating device at present is a large screen cell phone running an app like Waze. For most places you go, this may be fine. However, the Garmin offers something that the cell phone and all the navigating apps you can load do not have: navigation when your cell phone loses coverage. Garmin does not rely on a connection to the internet or 4G or other service from a cell tower. It is using strictly satellite data to track your progress.
