He packed the item very carefully and very well, however the post office must have thrown the item while shipping and I couldn't get the DVD side to work. He immediately gave me a refund and told me I didn't have to go through the aggravation of sending the item back. I believe he went above and beyond to make me a happy customer of his

Well Built and Simple to Use

I had over 3000 slides to convert to digital. This machine was exactly what I needed. The resolution is far superior to that of a "Copier Scanner". It is fast, takes about 2 to 3 seconds to scan the slide. There is no tray to load and unload. You simply feed the slides thru. NOTE: Most slides are rectangular in shape. Always feed the slide length wise or you will cut off part of the image. You can always rotate the image after it has been uploaded to your computer. Many of my slides are over 40 years old, some had darkened with age. I was able to lighten them using the Wolverine. One slide in particular it was so dark you could not recognize facial features. The Wolverine was able to lighten the image to the point where you can see our faces. I would scan a dark slide using 3 ...

    Drawbacks

The results w/ color negative film seem good enough. Only the screen has very bad resolution and colors - you have to scan the results to the SD-card and transfer them to the computer before you´re able to judge whether or not you were successful. Which is the other major drawback - you can´t work "online" w/ your computer. You have to forget about the settings in the scanner and do all the editing in Photoshop. The 35 mm film slot is narrow, the film cannot be pushed in as intended, it works better backwards.... The slide slot is narrow also, you need to really push to work it. The 16 mm slot I don´t know about. And why the horrible colour?

  • Very Easy to Use

This product is very easy to use and I felt like a pro in minutes. From Super 8, to 35mm to 110 film and slides, all were on my computer in minutes. Focal window is about 42mmX42mm max. Larger film formats will not fit in the focal window. I scanned these larger formats in different windows, then did some digital Cut-n-paste splicing. Took some effort but well worth the extra time. I really enjoy bringing these old negatives to life again, and sharing with family or friends.

  • Simple and effective

The unit functions as it should. The buttons are not intuitive enough for me (I need really clear instructions). The set up took a bit to figure out. Very happy with the results though!!!!! We've got this set up with Photoshop and have only processed slides at this point but so much fun seeing memories we haven't seen in AGES. The unit was a lot smaller than we anticipated, although I'm sure they had that in the description somewhere. You almost need a magnifying glass to really see what's on the screen, but since we are just uploading to Photoshop it really isn't an issue.

  • Good product

The quality of the picture you get from scans is dependent on the quality and composition of the slide it is taken from. I found life's with a number of people in them do not convert nearly as well as slides with one or two people in them. The colors are pretty good.
