High quality storage, display and at a bargain price.
This is a very durable way to protect your prized stamps. My collection looks amazing in the pockets and I like the flexibility that other options don't offer me. And at a per stamp average storage cost of about 1.5 cents each, it is an amazing bargain as well. Overall for keeping mint stamps, this is the best way to go. While Lighthouse makes it's Vario binders which go with these pages and look really good, they also fit a standard three ring binder which makes a good economical option if you can't afford a Lighthouse Vario binder. Just make sure you choose one of archival (Acid free, pvc free) quality like I did. The above is why I will continue to buy Vario pages for my collection. More details: If you are like me and are constantly adding and re-arranging your collection this ... This is a very durable way to protect your prized stamps. More details: If you are like me and are constantly adding and re-arranging your collection this is the way to go. While some may like the look of their collection arranged in individual mounts, they are not flexible because if you want to move your stamp to a different location you not only end up having to discard the old mount since you can't remove it without damaging it, but you also end up with a scar on your paper album page so either you live with that or replace the page and now you have to remount all the stamps and toss all those mounts as well. Mounts for individual stamps can cost as much as 25 cents each. Many mint stamps are not worth that much. Were I to mount my entire collection that way I would have albums that cost me more than the collection they held were worth. It's fine if all your stamps are valuable but as every collector knows, most stamps are not that valuable even when mint. These pages are thick heavy duty pages well suited for protecting stamps or any small paper collectible. They are not as thin as many album pages are and while that does add weight, it also means they do a better job preventing damage to your more fragile stamps. My only complaint is that there is no practical way to label each stamp as you would find in a traditional paper binder. Hopefully Lighthouse will come up with a solution for this.
