A definite must-have for peace of mind and security.
This shredder is so easy to use, just insert paper into the teeth and it does the rest. It handles heavier paper cards as well as plastic credit cards, so there's no more need to hurt your hands cutting up old cards with scissors. Having this shredder makes it a snap to stay on top of all the solicitation mail - you know, credit card offers for example, so that my information is floating around in a dumpster somewhere that someone can get their hands on it. It's solid, quick, and quiet.
Though a little smaller than the one I dropped and broke which led to its demise, this little Aurora actually can shred more in a single feed than our old crosscut Fellows. Its size is perfect for emptying into old plastic grocery bags. The one hesitation I have for use around children is that it does not have a safety cut-off switch when taking the top off to empty, just the control switch on top. My wife likes to thoroughly clean it with tweezers so for safety we unplug it. You'll love it. It is smaller than our old shredder but it is actually better. The trash bags fit inside the waste can better, it has a spot for shredding credit cards and it is quiet. We are pleased!
