better than the extreme and no problem with it being reconditioned
The extreme "Max" is noticeably more powerful than the extreme model of which I have several. I'm a contractor and we use these a lot everyday. I have had several other brands but this is definitely the best by far, most versatile, durable and relatively easy to repair. most parts are readily available. The folding hook on the handle is a very simple thing but the best idea since sliced bread. no issues with it being factory reconditioned, works just like new, but I actually have one that's almost 10 years old that still works like new. If I was pressed to come up with anything negative... the the cord was wrapped up in an odd way that makes it kink up and difficult to get back in the box. It does come shipped in a plastic storage box that's just ok. new ones come with a much nicer ... The extreme "Max" is noticeably more powerful than the extreme model of which I have several. Glad I didn't buy a lower level cheap one.
This is a powerful tool and has been holding up well for me while I drill many holes into some very tough rocks for splitting. It's the only hammer drill I've owned, so I can't say for sure how it compares, but I know I'm putting a beating on it and it's holding up...that's something most stuff you buy doesn't do. My only complaint is that the depth gauge slides up and down too easily to be trustworthy so I just eye-ball how deep the bit is in the holes.This is a powerful tool and has been holding up well for me while I drill many holes into some very tough rocks for splitting. This thing is awesome
Fastest and smoothest hammer drill I've ever used (including Hilti). This thing eats through concrete with very little vibration in your hands. When my son-in-law tried it, he said it made his Dewalt feel like a regular drill.
