802.11ac supports 600 megabits/sec as the product advertised. The product is usb 2, and I bought this product knowing that usb 2 tops out at under that speed rating, so I can't be mad about that bottleneck. What I did not expect was that the adapter was not even capable of 20 megabits. This may just be my setup, maybe it really is capable of this, but to be honest I didn't expect much to begin with for this price.

I am a Return customer. I have bought these before and they work out great for Kiosks and other particular applications. a couple of these will be in Ad-Hoc mode on a different project for telemetry purposes. Fast enough for my uses and the software is stable, easy setup and nice features. Also they are very inexpensive which is nice as much of what I do is experimental , or on older fixed machines. Shipping is always fast with nice packing. Thank You !

    Some work with Linux but a good deal for USB AC wifi.

    Find drivers automatically with Windows. Need to look up actual chipset, then search for and load drivers manually with Linux. Work as well or better than my laptop onboard AC wifi. Good, cheap way to add AC wifi for a low price.
