The pros for this model are that it will shoot with virtually any lens with a Nikon F mount - that said - it is still a smaller camera for Nikon, so one fisheye lens I have made for full sized Nikon sensor results in pictures close to a standard lens. This is a semi-pro camera and has some great features to get a taste of what Nikon's best cameras offer, but that said it has been on the market a few years and the pixel count is not nearly as high as the new Nikons. A great starter camera and a lot of camera for the amount you will pay. I love it, my travel camera for sure.
Actually the camera, lens and battery are good quality. I guess I better pay more attention there was no charger. I guess I can not assume.

I am so incredibly happy with this little honey! I was surprised to find an extra lens included, extra rechargeable batteries, an extra LCD screen protective cover, an USB shutter cable (just need a tripod now!)a VERY nice Field Guide, & the actual Nikon Field Guide! VERY, VERY, VERY pleased and happy! The ONLY problem I have experienced with it, is the flash sticks when I try to lift it by hitting the button on the side of the camera. I think the button may be broken but, I can pry it up with my fingernails..lol...I plan on getting a flash for the flash plate that allows me to bounce the flash off of things rather than the straight on flash...so, it's sort of a "So what?" situation! Yeah, great eBay buy!!
A very enjoyable camera to use. My biggest issue with this and every other digital camera is the number of buttons and functions. The manual is longer than some books I've read. I prefer simple to complex but I suppose in time I will learn all the features. For now I'm enjoying the crystal clarity of the images.
