I was skeptical about this little tripod set. However, on receiving it and finding a few sturdy tree limbs I put it to the test and added a grill on extra chain. Two burgers and a very nicely done steak plus multiple cups of coffee later, I'm convinced. This item is now a permanent addition to my kit. It's amazingly sturdy once the poles are inserted. I will say this, make sure the poles stick out above the plate about 3", this seems to help lock everything together. A great little product.
