    Motorola Talkabouts Are The Standard

    I first got talkabouts to communicate with snow ski partners. I have my original set that I bought 20 years ago. Range does not compare to today's units, but still adequate for my application. Cell phones replaced, as technology changed. However, now I am back for the same use case with my kids on the slopes. They are absolutely perfect and cost make sense. I love them and they are very durable. Plus, the kids have a fun toy, when not on the slopes.

    I bought this model used to replace one of the set of two that broke when it was dropped. I've had the set for at least eight years and it has performed flawlessly. The rechargeable batteries have been replaced once. Audio is clear. Easy to use.

    Mic not working on 1 of 2 units

    The black radio does not work. But upon further review they both transmit and receive. After troubleshooting I was able to determine that the microphone does not work. (The board has what appears to be water damage)
