Amazing sound and quality.
This tube peramp adds new pleasure to music listening. Clear, warm, and natural. It has great features that make it more useful than some other headphone amps, like 3 tone controls and the many input types. This preamp will amaze you. I use a multi port switch into the preamp and send the output to a Harman Kardon stereo. Speakers are JBLs and a Klipsch sub. Wow! For added enjoyment (optional) I upgraded to Telefunken 5654 tubes. This tube peramp adds new pleasure to music listening. Clear, warm, and natural. It has great features that make it more useful than some other headphone amps, like 3 tone controls and the many input types. This preamp will amaze you. Is it worth it?
I'm a guitar/organ player, all my equipment is tube driven. I picked this up because my BT adapter crapped out, and this was the same cost as a replacement. What a great product! I use it in front of a SXXY solid state unit currently and it really brings forth a great attack, (the decay is equally awesome)! Sometimes I bring it into the family room and run my phone BT through it into my Pioneer A/V Surround Sound system. and it really makes music pop. The tone controls are so much better than I anticipated, and I intend to use one of these in front of a tube power amp in the near future in my main music room. Great adjunct to a base-level sound system
Product arrived intact via UPS and in good time. I immediately swapped out the stock tubes for the recommended GE tubes. It took a full 3 hours of "burning in" for the optimal mellifluous sound to emerge. At first there was a lot of "reverb" across the frequency range, but this gradually dissipated. The 'tubey' sound is fantastic, as others have described. I particularly liked the option to adjust base, mids and treble, which is not available on the P1. I have the P2 connected by the RCA cables between the iFi Zen Dac V2 and an iFi Zen Can, listening via an HD6XX. I can appreciate no hiss or other noise in doing so. Sweet Lil' device
VERY impressed with this Douk Audio Bluetooth Preamp. Not only does it have remote control capabilities, it has bass, mid and treble adjustments that you can use to fine tune the sound of your system. I was using a Yamaha WXC-50 (5x the price of the Douk Audio Preamp) with my system and have opted for this unit. TRY it! You'll LIKE it I have no doubts.
