another quality sony product!
this camera is everything i expected from sony. the picture quality is amazing and fits perfectly in your hand. lightweight and versatile. however, with the age of touch screen products, in comparison to apple specificly, it lacks a bit. i feel as though i have to put my finger through the screen for it to sense what i want to do..besides that like i said its a wonderful device. long battery life and quite user friendly.this camera is everything i expected from sony. the picture quality is amazing and fits perfectly in your hand. lightweight and versatile. however, with the age of touch screen products, in comparison to apple specificly, it lacks a bit. i feel as though i have to put my finger through the screen for it to sense what i want to do..besides that like i said its a wonderful device. long battery life and quite user friendly.

Never miss a memory again.
I did lots of research before purchasing a digital video camera. I will say that it it paid off very well. This is the perfect family video camera. It's small enough that it fits in my wife's purse and goes with us all the time now. I gave all 5 stars because this camera exceeds what I needed. The price is hard to beat in the $200 range. The being able to add lots of memory and a 4 hour battery was a big selling point for me. Plus the battery can be changed while on a tripod.I did lots of research before purchasing a digital video camera. I will say that it it paid off very well. This is the perfect family video camera. It's small enough that it fits in my wife's purse and goes with us all the time now. I gave all 5 stars because this camera exceeds what I needed. The price is hard to beat in the $200 range. Sony Handycam is strong, small, stable, crisp, intuitive & inexpensive
Got my "LIKE NEW" Handycam and it had every piece that it was delivered from the fgactory with. Battery life is over 2 hours (got 3 more) and the functions are very intuitive. Video quality is better than I though it could be...especially at long distances. Video taped my son's JROTC promotion ceremony from 30+ seats back and it is very clear and vibration free without a tripod! The size if fine for my large size hands single handed due to the adjustable strap. Well worth $150 or less. Great pocket camera for 1080p videos.
I prefer the XR160 more & better, but the CX160 is a nice second (allowing SD Card use & storage, and transfers to your computer... vs the addition of the hard drive the XR160 has). Works well in low light, good IS ability, and reasonable stereo recording. Wouldn't waste money on this as a still camera. IT IS A VIDEO CAM!
