Effective cooler, but cumbersome
Pro: Powerful fan with variable speed control, and rubber seals of various sizes/shapes to fit most laptop exhaust vents, can pull out a lot of hot air! Con: Very large unit compared to one I have been using, so it can take up considerable space on a desktop, or lap desk. The seals do NOT hold the fan against the laptop vent as my old fan would with an adjustable vent clamp, so you have to be sure your connection of seal, fan, and vent stays in place on its own to do any good.Pro: Powerful fan with variable speed control, and rubber seals of various sizes/shapes to fit most laptop exhaust vents, can pull out a lot of hot air! Not a gimmick.
It actually works. My laptop would get hot then lock up. This was a last attempt before replacing it. So far, it has not had any overheating issues and works like new. You can feel the heat being pulled from the exhaust.
