Very easy to use. Just 1 channel is used at close proximity. Voice is clear and easy to understand. The most we use it, is no more than 1 mile apart and clear view of one another.

I think this would only work 20 miles in a flat desert. We used it, when we were driving in two cars. It was ok, as long as we were within sight of each other. Tried it in town, when we were 2 miles apart, didn't work.

Motorola talkabout walkie talkie
My wife was constantly yelling at me from the house out to my barn work shop 50 feet away and when I could not hear what she wanted I would have to drop what I'm doing and walk the 50 feet to find out what she wanted, then walk back to my shop, and again in short order there she was yelling at me again to come to her. Now that is a thing of the past. My wife can now get my attention with the melody and then tell me what she wants without me walking 50 feet and causing lot of frustration. These walk E talkie's may even have saved our marriage and always getting short with her. Life is now good and now, we use the talk a bouts between vehicles when traveling and riding our snowmobiles in winter, and on camping trips. These are not the kids toy, but a good talk a bout two way ...
