The Alphasmart 3000 arrived in condition as shown-- some obvious wear, but OK. The space bar was sticky and I had to do some fiddling around to make it work by replacing the space bar key with the `~ key, which isn't perfect, but usable. I'm happy. If you are expecting something perfect out of the box, you may be disappointed, but I didn't have that expectation at the price.
