Thanks to PowerChute Plus software, the APC UPS 1000VA unit will safely store data and shut down your network operating system before the battery becomes fully discharged during a power outage. With a half load applied to the storage product, the backup time lasts about 20.6 minutes. A full load, however, only takes 6.1 minutes to save all of your data with no interruption to the interface. These storage batteries only take three hours to recharge after an electrical incident, which means that your equipment can rely on another UPS or traditional power until the charging period has finished.It's not necessary to be in the room during the electrical outage because this brand of UPS supplies is cold-start capable. The smart battery backup will automatically trigger during an energy outage while restarting any servers or laptops after the energy is restored. You're able to configure the energy output at any time because this product has adjustable voltage sensitivity options.Furthermore, SmartSlot allows you to install optional accessories to enhance the performance of your UPS. Connect the Smart-UPS battery model to your network so that management is possible through one interface. This type of networking Smart-UPS is also compatible with InfraStruXure Manager from APC. Plug any lead into the surge protected outlets and those devices will always have batteries to back up their data and secure their stored capacity.Because this APC battery unit has an integrated overload and building wiring fault indicator, it's a device that's a great fit with file servers, minicomputers, UNIX CPUs, internet hubs, telecommunications systems, and other industrial electronics. It's possible to replace the batteries so that the rack mountable unit can remain viable for several years. In fact, the APC batteries are hot-swappable types during those unexpected energy outages. To keep you informed, a LED status display will tell you when it is time to replace the battery or when the device is overloading.You'll see a light bank on the front side of this backup product that tells you about each battery within the housing, including a disconnected battery notification. Listen for any audible alarms when they call for a replacement service because significant voltage drops can affect the unit's performance. Reset the circuits within the product at any point during the day in order to control voltage levels moving through your network.

    APC UPS are always a good idea

    UPS is an essential piece of gear. APC is the way to go IMO. For my money a used APC is a much better value then a sub-par new device from a questionable brand. Refresh batteries and you're good to go.

    The Gold Standard

    The APC Smart-UPS model line has always been a go-to standard for a UPS if anyone ever needed my recommendation. The true sine power is what your PC is actually looking for so you do not have to worry about whether the UPS is compatible with your power supply or not. This used model works perfectly and beats anything new at the price point.

    Works great , price was right !

    Though used, SUA worked as expected and (IMHO) was one of the best and most durable UPS that APC has made. I've had them in the past. One finally gave out after a number of years.
