Nice reasonable priced receiver
I was looking for a replacement for the old Yamaha DSP-A1 in my secondary system The old Yamaha still worked well but had no HDMI capability. The new one has 4 HDMI inputs with HDCP 2.2 so it should still be usable if I update to a 4K TV at a later date. Setup was reasonably easy using the microphone to set my 5 speakers. Sound quality is better than I expected from a modestly priced receiver. The setup menus required a little hunting and access to the owners manual to complete setup and customization. I don't always use the receiver for watching television, so the standby Pass thru feature was important to me. This feature works as I wanted - with the receiver in standby I can turn on my DirecTV client and the TV without the receiver turning on. If I later turn on the ... Although the unit was just installed, I am satisfied with it and, baring some malfunction, will remain satisfied.

Excellent Sound Quality
I have always found Yamaha products to be top of the line but this unit surpasses my expectations. This unit is full of features, easy to use and drives my ancient speakers with ease. I would recommend this unit or any Yamaha A/V system to anyone.

Very good for semi audiophiles
I have lots of equipment from Sony to McIntosh and I have not kept up with all the latest AV Home Theater features over the years. I knew we needed more wattage, HDMI ports, and wifi downstairs and this one review I read made this line of products Yamaha really stand out. That review was exactly right. Now I have an AV box that makes all my other stuff work so much better and I have more features and devices to add real soon. I am very impressed with Yamaha and Best Buy did a great job getting it to me very quickly and for a great price.
