About this product

Product Information

The Garmin nuvi 2595LMT GPS navigation system comes with several tools that facilitate easy travel for the driver. Its crystal-clear 5-inch display screen shows routes in full color and in 3-D. The Garmin nuvi GPS system is equipped with a vehicle power cable, which makes it a great companion for long trips by allowing the Garmin 2595LMT GPS system to stay powered using the vehicle's battery. Keep in mind that this device operates on a lithium-ion battery that lasts 2.5 hours when fully charged. The Garmin nuvi 2595LMT GPS system comes with a 3-D traffic viewer to help drivers avoid congestion in real time, and it also has traffic cable receiver compatibility. The traffic chord receiver will capture congestion reports and reroute drivers to better roads. The nuvi comes with lifetime updates that not only help with the anti-congestion tool but also ensure that drivers are provided with updated information.Drivers will enjoy the innovative voice-activated navigation capability, which turns on with a customizable voice command. It also has the ability to guide drivers with a crisp and clear voice, meaning users should be able to drive without taking their eyes off the road or their hands off the wheel. The Garmin nuvi 2595LMT GPS comes with an intuitive touchscreen interface as well. Users will appreciate the nearly 8 million points of interest that have already been uploaded to the system, not mention the ability to load new POIs or routes. Moving through traffic will be a lot easier using its photoReal junction view. This feature is available in certain metropolitan regions, and the Garmin nuvi 2595LMT GPS system enters into split-screen mode to show junctions on the driver's route. This includes road signs and arrows that indicate the proper lane for navigation. The Garmin nuvi GPS comes with a suction cup mount and a USB cable. Users will also find a manual in the box with the navigation tool. It should be noted that the navigator comes pre-loaded with many maps that reach beyond the United States. Drivers will have access to maps of Canada, Mexico, Puerto Rico, the US Virgin Islands, the Cayman Islands, and the Bahamas. Users can connect to the computer through the USB for updates, or they can use the Garmin nuvi's internal Bluetooth technology. The wireless technology will connect to a compatible phone, which includes most smartphones. This will ensure that the map software, TomTom, is always up to date. For those who are interested in this feature, the unit does have the compatibility to be used with park position recall hardware and mounting accessories for your convenience. This advanced portable map system is more than capable and has enough additional accessories to ensure that drivers have an easy time on the road. The device even has the ability to store or log trips for later use, which can be used for frequently visited locations. The portable mapping system can also plan trips with multiple stops that can be modified along the way.

    Garmin Nuvi 2595LMT GPS

This is my first GPS so not a lot of comparison. It was easy to figure out. I do find it is important to try and know where you are going first using google maps or something as the unit can get confused sometimes. Like it thought I was on the frontage road instead of the hwy so it was telling me to do things that didn't make sense. Over all t has been great and useful but could take you in circles from time to time when the sensor gets confused.

    Garmin 2595

I owned a few Garmins now and all of them had the triffic light camera which I got so use to so if you are looking for one that has that features don't get this Garmin. What I like about this one is the voice comand you just talk the address and it will come up with a section of address and you choose a line. I would like to get the others features like weather and live triffic view but don't want to spend the money and I don't know if it is a one-time price or a monthly fee. The app for Android devices don't really work it is useless I read all of the review and lots of people said it didn't work and I had to find out for myself and they were right about that. And I love Garmin GPS but lately I think that Garmin is slipping their maps are not accurate and up-to-date or maybe they can't ...

  • Garmin 2595

My wife and I are retired. We own / operate two cars. Each has a Garmin in its glovebox for those times when you need to navigate somewhere we haven’t been before. Garmin is so easy to use and 98% of the time right on target. It's biggest drawback is the TRAFFIC function. Even when programed to avoid rerouting around heavy traffic congestion – it has a mind of its own, and that is NOT a good thing. Best bet is to use Google maps, print out your route and have that hard copy as a safety net/ backup to insure against its traffic avoidance insanity. Particularly routing through New York City it is NOT to be trusted. In the wide open spaces of suburbia it can NOT be beat. I also have learned to remove the units from the cars during excess summer heat / excess winter cold. It will shorten the ...

  • Mind Blowing features, create a cheat sheet-VERY confusing at times

I just had the chance to use it in two different cities - Pittsburgh PA and Tampa FL. I am OVERWHELMED with all that it will do and created a cheat sheet that is PAGES long -because there is just SO much capability. I probably will not remember how to use 1/10th of it -but with ease it got me from Point A to Point B (still cannot figure out how to Save to Favorites) as they made some features that were SO EASY on previous models extremely complicated. The bonus on this model is the Pedestrian feature; so if you are traveling you can use in your car and also on your belt to walk around & get to the places you want to see. But extremely confusing to me to use vs. my 3 yr old model I had. I still recommend due to the screen showing you the EXIT sign to look for, the Speed Limit, etc - ...

  • This Garmin will amaze you with its speed and accuracy.

Anyone who has used GPS for the past few years know that Garmin makes the best unit. I've had 4-5 Garmins since 2005 (plus a Tom-Tom, NavTec and a (shudder) Magellan)and basic way in which you navigate the screens has been almost unchanged. This has changed in the 2595LMT. It has been taking me over a month to get used to it so I'm still in that awkward stage of not finding what I want but getting there eventually. The processor is blazing fast and it keeps up with quick turns with ease. It has the lifetime traffic update and will automaticly reroute you to the fastest way. In fact, I almost 2nd guessed it the other day when it took me off the X-way to a surface road... until I saw the sea of red lights where the traffic was backed up. It has the usual points of interest built-in and ...
