Good camera.
This is a good camera. I had the same model once before, and remembered I liked it. I'm glad I got it. It takes good quality pictures, and has manual settings that I don't want to be without. The only thing really that I don't like about it is there's no manual focus, and that makes it hard to get some night shots (but not impossible), and some other shots too. But it's reasonably fast, and you can adjust the shutter speed from 30 seconds to 1/2000. You can adjust the aperture, but sometimes depending on what you set other things on, it limits your range for that. It takes 4 AA batteries, and doesn't drain them too fast. If you get 8 rechargeable batteries, that's the best way to go. I'm still using the same 4 regular Duracell batteries that I put in it maybe 5 days ago. I've ... This is a good camera. 90% right on the mark

Incredibly sharp pictures. Awesome features, and an unbeatable price!
My in-laws were in shock, disbelief and envy when I showed them my new GE Power Pro series X500 camera! Talk about a GREAT feeling. Ha! And less than half the price of their 'precious', more expensive and with less features camera...I can't say enough good things from that perspective. Truthfully however, this AWESOME 16 MP unit puts out some of the clearest, sharpest pictures of any digital camera I've seen to date. I like how the picture image is so clear. The pop up flash is a must, and is amazing. the camera came in with all accesories listed. The picture quality is a A++ Its not too big, can be carried anywhere. Not heavy. Just an overall wonderful experiance.
