Great starter camera, Used for Underwater Photography
I bought this camera for $350 back in 2002 and a very expensive underwater housing. I took 1000's of underwater shots in addition to regular photos. It is very easy to use on land, so using it for underwater was easy as well. It was fantastic in its day and just fine for a point and shoot still today. I only gave it a 4 star rating because I am biased from using other generations of camera with more and more features in the last 8 years.I bought this camera for $350 back in 2002 and a very expensive underwater housing. I have owned and used an Easyshare for a number of years. After much hard ware I dropped my camera and was unable to have it repaired. I was really happy to find a replacement on ebay. This will extend my picture taking for years. It is a great and easy to use camera.

Good For Beginners Or Those Without Much Money
I have mixed feelings. This is my first camera. I bought it to take pictures of jewelry for charitable purposes. It does not seem to be able to take photos of rings, even when using the close-up feature. And the worst part is that the batteries were almost dead after only about 30 photos. I just can't believe that is normal, so it must be the price you pay for buying used. The good part is that I bought it without instructions or software and was able to use an online guide to upload photos fairly easily on my hp pavilion g4. I Own a Kodak DX4900 and it needs repair. I bought this one because it is easy to use and most of all I like that it uses a compact card format to store pictures. The first one cost me close to $400 when it came out new. since I was familiar with the camera, the price was right, I bought it.
