  • The Dream Of The Blue Turtles CD, Mobile Fidelity Sound

Sting's first release post The Police era triumphantly incorporates the hall marks of an accomplished composer. The diversity of such tracks as "Russians" and Love Is The Seventh Wave compliment the classics, "Moon Over Bourbon Street" and the underrated "Fortress Around Your Heart." The quality of "Original Master Recording" accentuates the various textures of sound which was the overriding factor in my upgrading this CD. For Police fans I would consider this recording to be the closest to that era which is understandable given the release date. Highly recommended for a broad spectrum of tastes as this could introduce you to fresh Fields Of Gold. Ian

  • Sting's Solo Debut!

One of my favorite all time cd's! Sting's debut solo album with jazz musicians is a amazing transition from his work with the Police. Highly recommended.

  • MFSL CD is still the best sounding digital version

This is a great-sounding CD! I have quite a bit of listening experience with this particular title (album), as I did purchase the original A&M CD back in late 1985. That one sounded fine at the time. Later, I recycled it in favor of the MFSL LP, which I thought had better bass. Some years later I compared a promo copy LP to that MFSL LP version, and found the promo to sound a little more balanced. I sold the MFSL LP. Finally, I won the auction for this MFSL CD. It rivals the promo copy LP, so I decided to keep both. This is one of my favorite albums by Sting. I also enjoy Nothing Like the Sun. In my opinion, the best CD version is still this MFSL CD. And, if you are more of an LP person, look for an A&M original pressing (or an original promo copy), -- save your money and don't ...
