I am always needing Hard drives for the laptops I rebuild/repair. There are several good choices as far as brands. The Fujitsu with 5400 rpm is my favorite, they always give good performance ,and are quiet,are more responsive than the 4200 rpm drives and have served me well (no crashed systems) I have not had an oppurtunity to try a 7200 rpm model, so that is why the 4.5 for performance . This drive arrived with XP pro installed, it easily formatted and XP home installed without a hitch,or a blip,the drivers were installed from my resource disc,and I was online in no time getting updates. I am using the drive for this review....

worked great,fast shipping, plug and play.I plugged it into the laptop, was immediately recognized on boot up, windows install formatted it and the rest is history, it was also wiped professionally there was no residue left from previous user,both boot sector and main drive.
I bought this one for my old Laptop. I can't tell immediately because I don't used it oftenly and I don't know the others.
Bought as a replacement for a dead drive in a Dell Inspiron 5160. Swapped them out, resinstalled OS etc. from scratch (wanted to do that anyway) ... up in running soon after that. No problems. There are faster drives, but it is a slow computer these days anyway.
